yummy recipes!

Happy Tuesday y'all!

Now, I'm not much of a cook (who am I kidding...I'm hardly a cook at all!) but my mama is!

Enjoying all of my mama's yummy meals is one of the many reasons I love being home-home :)

Since these dishes were SO good I just had to share them!

The first one is a chicken pie. My Mimi used to make this all the time when my mama was little and then mama used to make it for us when we were little. It's such a simple recipe but oh so good!

{Mama didn't follow this recipe exactly but the one in this cookbook is very similar to my Mimi's.}

I'm not going to go through the entire recipe but I will show pictures of how Mama made it :)

First, she made the dough for the crust and let it chill for an hour.

Then, she made the sauce which has chicken broth, pea juice, butter, and flour.

She then put the boiled chicken and peas into a dish.

Now it was time to pour in the sauce.

Then it's time to roll out the dough and put in on!

Pop it in the oven for about 45 minutes and enjoy!

The other recipe is a DELICIOUS chocolate chip cookie I found on Pinterest! The recipe is called New York Times Chocolate Chip Cookies :) After seeing the recipe, I emailed it to Mama and hinted to her that she should make them :)
