Happy Monday y'all!
We've had a pretty busy weekend and I'm sad to see it go! So here's a little recap of our weekend with lots of pictures :)
{Friday}
I had a long day at school I was there from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.! We had our Fall Festival from 4:00 - 7:00 and it was lots of fun! Here are a few pictures from that...
{One of the fall displays at the front of the school. This is where the fall photos took place :) }
{Our place for the night!}
{My sister-in-law volunteered to be a scarecrow for the fall photos! The kids just loved it!}
There was also a little pumpkin competition between the classes. Each class got a pumpkin and had to dress it up and decorate it like a character from a book! During the fall festival, students got to vote for their favorite pumpkins and the winner was announced at the end of the night. Here are a few of my faves that I snapped in the library...
{I just love this book and thought the stripes on the pumpkin were too cute! And that's not a cigarette...it's a thermometer!}
{This is my sister-in-laws kindergarten class' pumpkin! I thought it was super cute!}
{This is the winning pumpkin! It was very cute and I can definitely see why it won!}
The students had a blast at the Fall Festival participating in things like ring toss, bowling, making play dough, face painting, the petting zoo, the dunking booth, and so much more!
After it was all over, I grabbed a bite to eat with my sister-in-laws parents at Chili's since J was at another high school football game event and wasn't getting back until later.
When he got home we chatted for a while and watched some TV then hit the hay! We were exhausted!
{Saturday}
We left for Charleston about 9:30ish Saturday morning. The game started at 1:00 so we parked a couple of streets over and walked over to the Citadel's stadium.
Here are a few pics from the game...
{The Citadel's stadium}
{the cool little castle field house!}
{Go Eagles!}

{Some of the cheerleaders cheering on the Eagles!}
{This lemonade was amazing! Yum!}
{Hey Gus!}
We ended up winning 20 - 0!
After the game was over we walked back to the car and decided to drive downtown towards King Street.
We didn't stop and get out on King Street and shop or anything. Since we decided not to spend the night and didn't have time to shop, we just wanted to grab something to eat and then be on our way back home. But we did drive down to The Battery (a beautiful scenic spot near the water) and walk around for a bit before supper.
Here are some beautiful buildings, houses, and other sights in this part of town :)
{We spotted this bride and groom and their photogs taking some pictures!}
{This little boy was so funny! He and some other boys were selling those straw flowers...we would have bought one from him but we didn't have any cash on us :( }
{We walked by this garden and saw these groomsman who I think were in the wedding for the couple on the cannon :) }
{This house definitely needed some repairs...if you look closely the tops some of the columns were deteriorating.}
{I just loved these houses!}
{I just loved this house with its observatory up top! How neat would it be to have that in your house?!}
{The Fort Sumter House has lots of beautiful condos for sale.}
After looking at all the beautiful sights around The Battery, we decided to go ahead and grab supper. J googled some places to eat on his phone and we decided to go to
The Wreck of Richard and Charlene. Giada DeLaurentiis from the Food Network even recommended it on her top places to eat in Charleston so we figured it had to be pretty good :)
{Crossing over the big bridge to get there.}
{We knew it was going to be a little hole in the wall restaurant but this is what we saw when we got there!}
{You can read
here about how the restaurant got its name.}
We ordered our drinks and the waitress brought us boiled peanuts as the little appetizer...kinda like how you get chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant! Yum!
The menus were paper and you were given a red Sharpie to circle what you wanted. I got a crab cake and red rice and J got some kind of seafood platter. The restaurant was very laid back and was pretty good...a little expensive for what it was but isn't everything kind of expensive these days? Overall, it was a fun atmosphere with yummy food!
After supper, we went out back and snapped a few pictures...
{Hey...that's me!}
{I'm Mrs. Judy too :) }
We left the restaurant and headed back home to Georgia :) We got home about 10:30, showered, and then went to bed! It was such a fun day but we were worn out!
{Sunday}
We set our alarms so that we could get up and go to Sunday school and church but we were bad and slept in! We were just worn out from our busy weekend! I didn't feel as bad because we had told our Sunday school teachers last week that we weren't going to be there since we were planning on spending Saturday night in Charleston. We woke up around 10:30 and snuggled in bed with little Daisy before heading to lunch with some friends. We spent the afternoon watching TV, washing J's truck, and going to the grocery store to get our groceries for the week.
I sure hope this week goes by as fast as this weekend did so we can have another fun filled weekend!
P.S. Did y'all know that Christmas is exactly 2 months from today?! This year is just flying by!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and has a marvelous Monday!
