Happy Tuesday friends!
This post will be kind of long but we just had such a great weekend!
After getting over my strep throat, I was able to enjoy our wonderful weekend.
We arrived at our mountain house Friday afternoon to the whole town covered in snow!
Just so y'all know, northeastern Georgia does get some snow but this past weekend, pretty much the whole state of Georgia was covered in snow (which never happens)! My hometown in southwest Georgia got snow and mine and J's town right near Savannah got snow. It was pretty crazy!
Here are some pictures from our snow day :)
our little house.
J at the back door.
The road in front of the house.
The little park across the street.
The hubs.
so pretty!
Not feeling so hot but we only stayed out for a little bit.
Trying to get a family pic but little Daisy, of course, would not look at the camera!
So she just turned her head!
Rabun Gap Nacoochee School. If you look closely, you can see some kids sledding down the huge hill!
Our cozy fire :)
Little Daisy enjoying the fire :)
Saturday was spent driving over to Greenville, SC to see Wicked.
Downtown Greenville is just so pretty!
Just some fun art on a building.
All I can say about Wicked is WOW!
The show was amazing! Everything from the music, the singing, the costumes, the set, and the actors was wonderful! The show lasted almost 3 hours but it only felt as if we were there for an hour.
Our seats were on the 2nd row. At first, I thought that was a little close and that we would be too close to see everything that was going on. But I was SO wrong! Being that close let us see the all actor's facial expressions and just how beautiful all the costumes were.
A map of Oz.
Waiting on the show to start :)
I would recommend Wicked to anybody! It's such a great show for all ages!
When we got back to the house, we let little Daisy out, then left again to go to dinner. We went to this delicious pasta place called
Zeppelin's. We got this yummy crab dip for an appetizer. For dinner, I got the chicken pesto pasta and J got the rasta pasta. It was all so good!
We spent the rest of the night by the fire watching the Olympics.
We slept in on Sunday and then got some lunch at this little country cooking restaurant. We then went to an indoor flea market and browsed around for a little bit. We went back to the house, opened our Valentine's cards from one another (our gifts to each other was going to see Wicked :) ), and then watched some more of the Olympics. We ate supper at home and worked on putting together a 1000 piece puzzle of the state of historic Georgia.
I really wanted to finish it but we got the outside border and all of the little squares done. The middle will just have to wait until next time!
Even though our Valentine's Day wasn't extravagant, we had a lovely day spending it with each other :)
We left Monday afternoon and came home to see this huge branch that had fallen in the front yard.
I guess these trees aren't used to having snow on them!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is having a terrific Tuesday!
