The weekend is finally here! This is been the longest week EVER!!!
And we're about to have a super busy weekend.
It's homecoming at our college which will be fun and we also have to retake some wedding pictures. Yes...you heard me right. Retake some pictures.
I'm picking up my old roomie/bridesmaid/sorority sister from the airport in Savannah around 6:45 tonight. Y'all, she lives in Nebraska with her Air Force hubby and is flying all the way back home to be here this weekend!
We're planning on going out to eat tonight and then who knows what. On Saturday, we're going to our sorority alumni brunch and then headed over to tailgate for the game which is at two. Later on Saturday night, my cousin will be coming into town from Tallahassee. Then, on Sunday we're all going to Savannah to retake this pictures that I speak of!
So...what had happened was...a couple of weeks after the wedding we got a call from our photogs about our pictures. They said there was a problem with one of the memory cards but that they were trying to fix it. After sending it off to some place that can sometimes retrieve files from corrupted discs they were were only able to get a few off the disk (like some portraits of me, J, and a couple of us before the wedding).
Soooo pretty much all the good pictures were lost...pictures of me and J, me and my bridesmaids, of us and the entire wedding party, and family pictures! Needless to say I was pretty upset!
But at least our private reveal (pictures of us seeing each other before the wedding) were all there! That's something you just can't recreate...that special time of seeing the one you love before marrying him!
(Y'all, just looking at this pictures of us seeing each other makes me so teary eyed! I'm so glad I saw J before the wedding :) )
Our photogs were extremely upset and of course said they would do anything to make it up. So after almost 6 months of marriage, we finally have the time to retake the pics! They are meeting us in beautiful Savannah so we can take pics of me and J and us and the girls. The pictures of J and his groomsmen were not lost so that's a good thing! It'd be hard to get a bunch of boys and tuxes together to pose for the camera!
Along with taking pics of us in Savannah, our photogs are coming to my hometown the first weekend in December (which is also my birthday!) to shoot some family pictures.
Even though it was sad and is kind of a hassle to retake these pictures, it gives everybody a reason to get together and a reason for me to wear my wedding dress again!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
